The Mimics appear
The Mimics appear as a small colony of young, muscular saplings.
Each one subtly different in posture and voice.
They do not occupy a site.
They emerge within it, curious and open to the world around them.
Drawn to shadowed edges and overlooked corners,
they settle where industrial memory and ecological potential overlap.
Their bodies resemble growth.
Their rhythm resembles breath.
A vertical opening pulses softly with warm light. From within, mechanical murmurs unfold. Rattling. Friction. Metal resonating against itself.
Each sound is physically generated, revealing the individual character of every Mimic.
A metabolism of gears, tension and air.
Diverse, alive, and quite playful.

The Mimics aren’t on view yet. You’ll read it here or on our Instagram whenever the date of their first appearance can be shared.
They can emerge anywhere: in a forest, an urban dystopia, a modern courtyard, or under the shelter of a gallery roof.
